My name is Sophie Carter and I am an illustrator based in the Chichester area, UK.
I have always been passionate about art and illustration, and in recent years I have started to focus my work around printmaking mediums, especially lino cut.

I recently won the Brighton Illustrator's Group Legacy award for my work and dedication to my art while studying for my BA(Hons) Degree in Illustration.

I have created various works but my current inspirations come from folklore, fairy tales, animals and nature, often finding myself captivated by my woodland surroundings. I make successful work in both colour and black and white and have a unique printed style, often playing with proportion and striking composition in my work.
